As a special addition to our trip, we had planned a one-night stop in Bratislava, Slovakia. Given our preference for exploring smaller towns and off-the-beaten-path sites, we usually opt to drive ourselves. However, we were taken aback when we looked into the cost of a one-way rental car, factoring in expenses like gas, tolls, insurance, and parking, finding it amounted to around $2500 – way beyond our budget. Additionally, we were concerned about leaving all our luggage in the car when visiting various places. Although we love train travel, we ruled it out this time as it would have limited our ability to see the many incredible places we had on our list.
As travel bloggers, we have always enjoyed delving into travel research, so when we discovered Daytrip private car service , we were ecstatic. We were thoroughly impressed with the entire experience. The level of communication was exceptional, and when we needed to modify one of our sightseeing stops, they handled it seamlessly. What’s more, no upfront payment was required, and we could cancel our booking up to 24 hours in advance. Additionally, we had the option to pay in cash on the day of the experience. While tipping wasn’t mandatory, the outstanding service definitely warranted it. Our itinerary typically consisted of 3-4 stops per drive, and our days lasted anywhere from 9 to 12 hours, based on our preferences. Despite the packed schedule, they always made sure we had time for a leisurely sit-down lunch.
During our three excursions, everything went perfectly and became some of the most cherished memories of our trip. The drivers who accompanied us were not only informative and kind but also made the experience incredibly enjoyable. They imparted extensive knowledge about the area and its history and also shared personal stories, which deepened our understanding of the local culture and its people. Their service was impeccable, as they ensured we were dropped off right at the entrance of each site. Additionally, they even offered to accompany us at times, which genuinely enriched our overall experience. As each Daytrip came to an end, bidding farewell to our drivers left us feeling a tinge of sadness.

Below is a trip we entered into the Daytrip Website in July 2024. The starting point is Budapest, Hungary, and the termination point is Vienna, Austria. We picked out four stops along the way; take a look at the choices offered. Our departure is set for 9:00 a.m., and we arrive in Vienna that evening at 8:40 p.m. The base price was 219 euros, but with our added sightseeing stops, the cost comes to 405 euros. That is the total price, with no added tax. Tip, of course, is additional if you choose to leave one.
